'It all began in the mid-eighties, when the weather was windier and ipods didn’t exist. Born and raised in the countryside, Josh grew up the hard way. He didn’t own a TV till he was 3, a stereo till 6, and at one birthday party his mum didn’t supply party bags. Nobody would doubt that his life was tough, but he pulled through, and now boasts a portfolio of survival tricks that even Ray Mears would rub his eyes in awe it.

All the events that came and passed since those early days are far too numerous to recall, but I suppose the big milestones include; getting a Lego pirate ship for his 9th birthday, successfully gaining A-Levels, studying work experience on ITV’s Art Attack, attending Leeds University to study Biology and Zoology, and of course working in Pantomime. The travel that followed those academic years is also held with high regard. Bungling from place to place Josh experienced many things on his voyages, such as eating sheep testicles in Mongolia, riding on a train for 5 days in Siberia, and promising himself he would never again eat any form of testicle anywhere. They say travel broadens the mind and all that, I suppose they’re about right.

However, since those glorious days of school and travel a great deal has changed. Last year, in a feat much like Croc Dundee 2, Josh moved to the big city. Being a quick learner he was toilet trained in a week and riding escalators like they were Shropshire dapple greys. However, it was time to shed that reptilian skin of youth and become an independent young professional. So, as well as forming bonds with the local gangs and reaching out to the homeless, he got a job as a designer and visual merchandiser, a position which has flourished from temp staff to ‘key team member’. But realising that all work and no play is reasonably dull, he joined a football team where he met Sam, the Other Side dictator himself.

… to be continued.'

Big Sur Sunday Sessions

Red Stripe sponsored event 'Big Sur' continues to entertain the masses every last Sunday of each month.

For just £4 (which includes entry and a free can of Red Stripe) ensures a chilled and thoroughly entertaining evening.

Last Sunday saw Russell Brand's Poet Mr Gee host the evening, with music from numerous acts including the incredible voice of Polly Scattergood.

The new website (which i am just putting the finishing touches on) can be viewed here;

The Big Fat Sketch Show

Til' We Leave theatre productions continues with the hilarious performance 'The Big Fat Sketch Show'.

Praised by the likes of Little Britain's Matt Lucas and Neil Tennan, the show won't disappoint. It flies out of the blocks at 100mph and doesn't slow until the final curtain drops, well worth a look.
